These are the criteria this test applies. The values and the basis come from the same table the test judges with.

How to use and FAQ

How do I use the monitor test?

Press Start in full screen. Look at each color, click any spot that looks stuck or dead, and use Next color to go through all of them. Press Finish, answer the question about light at the edges, and choose Show result.

What counts as a stuck pixel?

A point that stays one color while the screen shows other colors. Makers accept different numbers of them, so the result only says whether you marked any.

Is light around the edges always a problem?

No. Many panels show some light at the edges of a black screen, especially at high brightness or from an angle. It is only flagged for a closer look.

Is the result proof for an exchange or warranty claim?

No. The result is a reference measurement based on what you saw and on signals your browser receives. Follow the seller’s or manufacturer’s rules for exchange and repair.
