Saving straight into a folder works in Chrome and Edge. Here the results are downloaded as a file, or as one ZIP file for several.

The conversion programs (codecs) are files of this website. Your browser downloads them from jiktools.com when needed; these requests contain no image content and no file names.

How to use

  1. Add your photos.
  2. Choose how to resize and the number of pixels.
  3. Save into a folder or download the resized photos.

Frequently asked questions

Are my photos uploaded?

No. Conversion runs inside your browser on your device. Your images, their names and the information in them are not sent to JikTools. Only the conversion programs (codecs) are downloaded from jiktools.com, and those requests contain no image content or file names.

Are the proportions kept when resizing?

Yes when you resize by the longest side, width or height, and in the width-and-height mode with "Keep the proportions" on. Small photos are not enlarged unless you allow it.

Will the quality get worse?

JPG, WebP and AVIF are lossy formats, so saving them again changes the pixels slightly; the recommended setting keeps the difference hard to see. PNG keeps every pixel. Check the results before you delete the originals.

Is the location kept in converted photos?

By default the location (EXIF GPS), XMP and IPTC are removed. Other camera information such as the date and model can stay. Each result row shows "No EXIF/XMP/IPTC location data" only after the finished file was read again and no location was found.
